and a comprehensive marketing network. Recently, In Sinopec's effort to align its
business goals to its people strategy, in a strategic move selected Global
Management consults to structure and deploy a compensation survey within the oil and
gas sector of the Gulf region.

The study involved stages such as : Defining Objectives Of Compensation, Job
Evaluation, Compensation Benchmark Study, Determining The Wage Structure, and
Administrative Rules & Procedures prevalent amongst leading oil and gas companies
operating in the Gulf.

The study was conducted around 3 research parameters : manpower parameters and human
resource system, finance and remuneration, and employee benefits. Global's
findings, were presented with the aim to :
 accurately and fairly reflect what staff do
 ensure equal pay for work of equal value
 underpin career development
 provide flexibility both locally and in the wider market place to reward
staff to meet the Company's needs
The project was successfully lead by Susan Wei, Global Senior Partner, and Jardine
Ong, Global organizational development consultant.
